Fraser Antistatic — AI-Powered Technical Site Translation (EN → FR)

The Brief

Fraser Antistatic Techniques manufactures industrial electrostatic discharge (ESD) control equipment — static eliminators, ionising bars and air guns used on high-speed printing, film and web-converting machinery. Their established website is large and deeply technical: more than 300 pages spanning a full product catalogue, industry application guides and a technical knowledge centre, with nearly every page dense in engineering terminology and specifications. To grow into their French-speaking market, Fraser needed the whole site — not a handful of landing pages — translated into French. Handling content this technical and this voluminous through conventional specialist translation would have taken weeks, more realistically months, at significant cost.

The Approach

Fraser already had their website; our role was to translate it — completely, accurately, and fast. We designed an AI-assisted translation workflow built for scale and technical density. Rather than translating 300+ pages from scratch, AI generated high-quality first-pass French translations that a specialist then reviewed and corrected. That human-in-the-loop step was non-negotiable: in ESD equipment, a mistranslated term or specification isn’t just untidy — it’s wrong, and potentially misleading to an engineering buyer. The AI carried the volume and kept terminology consistent across the entire catalogue; the expert review guaranteed every technical term landed correctly.

The Work

We worked across the site’s complete content set — product pages, industry and application guides, knowledge-centre articles, FAQs and supporting pages — translating everything into French and placing it into the site’s existing Polylang bilingual structure so each English page gained its native French counterpart. We also handled the details automated tools routinely miss: hardcoded interface strings such as buttons, labels and navigation, so the French experience reads natively from edge to edge instead of slipping back into English. Maintaining consistent terminology across hundreds of interlinked technical pages — a notorious weak point when translation is split across multiple human linguists — was managed centrally by the AI workflow.

The Result

The entire Fraser Antistatic website went live in French — over 300 pages of highly technical content — delivered in a single week, against a conventional timeline of weeks to months. Fraser’s French-speaking customers get the full depth of the catalogue and technical library rather than a cut-down version, at a fraction of the time and cost of traditional technical translation.
