Henry’s had an idea – so we thought we would let him explain it in his own words!
“I am considering something a little different. In May, Ad-MOTO and Exe Squared Ltd have been invited by IONOS to attend Europe’s largest Tech event – GITEX EUROPE.
It’s a great opportunity for us to show off the technology which fully utilises Ionos’s cloud technology. The idea was initially to have one of the Ad-Scooters at the Ionos stand at the event – but that plan has now evolved.
I think Tim Kartali and Kim Bishop at Ionos think we’re mad, but a few of us are considering making the entire 650 mile journey to Berlin on the electric ad-scooters. I have spoken to Richard Jordan at Zenion who certainly thinks it’s doable.
We’re going to need a lot of batteries – these things are designed for cities rather than international travel but with some careful planning and a little luck I think it is possible. I’ve also got to get my full motorbike license – the CBT is not valid outside of the UK.
The chance to show just how tough these little bikes are, and how reliable the ad playback technology is across multiple countries and cities is just too great an opportunity. We’re hoping for some good media coverage, and will also look to raise some money for at least one charity.
It’s very early stage right now – it’s an idea rather than a definite, but any thoughts or comments will be welcome. Fell free to tell me that I’m mad and should catch a flight instead.”
